Chrysanthemum of Offerings

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut bibendum tortor sit amet ligula rutrum, at porta tortor convallis ...

Floral Cyanotype print of the Chrysanthemum is made on (Kozo) Japanese fine paper signed and unframed.

The Chrysanthemums are auspicious florals and are symbolic in East Asia, where it represents blessings, prosperity and longevity. These motifs and archetypal images are typically placed on shrines and often used for celebrations such as Lunar New Year.

During the Fall season, I had the opportunity to gather multiple yellow chrysanthemums in my garden. The Chrysanthemums were then photographed and developed into cyanotypes.

Note: The print will include a thick cardstock backing to support and be placed in a clear cello envelope.
